Dave Cyplick Hall of Fame Member Shorewood

I began my running career in 1991 and joined the Prairie State Road Runners in 1992.

Over the years, I′ve run in countless races, have done 8 Marathons and participated in the River to River Relay 14 times. My running PRs are not all that impressive when compared with some of the PSRR Hall of Famers, 19:36 in the 5K and 3:30 in the Marathon, but I′ve tried to contribute my time and energy in service of the club whenever possible.

I′ve served as both President and Vice President of the Prairie State Road Runners. My race directing experience involves co-directing or directing the National Heritage Corridor 25K Run 6 times plus directing our Thanksgiving Poultry Predictor Runs and our Spring Kick Off Trail Run. I′ve also had the opportunity to assist several new races in our area get started.

Some of my favorite running memories involve road trips to various races. I wish the Ottawa 10 Miler was still around! Locally, you couldn′t beat the Earl′s 5K which featured great food and drink afterward.
